Llafranc is very much a sea-side resort, but it's also situated in the Baix Emporda region of Catalonia. Its history has been richly aided by visits from such ancient people as the Phoenicians and the Romans. Not only have there been great archealogical finds in the area, but there is an abundance of beautiful old inland villages, extremely well preserved and well worth seeing.

So, why not walk the paths of ancient times and enjoy some spectacular scenery.

Diving

Llafranc and Calella have recently proved to be a great attraction for divers from all over Europe. There are three serious diving schools here in Llafranc as well as many more along the coast. If you are interested, we can put you in touch.

Cycling Holidays

The region has become a very popular venue for cyclists of all ages. There are many coastal tracks going along the cliff tops to take you to other resorts nearby. In addition, there are many beautiful villages inland to explore.

Boats for hire

In the beach and harbour area there are businesses who will hire boats of all sizes as well as canoes and boards.

Golf

There are several excellent golf courses in the area - Emporda, pals and, near Girona, a famous championship course.
